18" (46 cm.) Blonde floss hair with cluster of fine curly bangs, side hair drawn back into an elaborate twist of curls at the crown decorated with tiny silk rose buds and leaves that are repeated at the shoulder and hip. Wearing tagged tutu with pink satin bodice and triple-layered tulle skirt edged with gold metallic rick-rack, panties, pink ballerina slippers. Near mint condition. Alexander, 1949, original cloverleaf paper wrist tag labeled "Ballerina", Alexander box stamped 6100, rare model from the earliest hard plastic doll production era.
