21" (53 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head, deep brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, wearing lovely silk dress with velvet collar and lace trim, undergarments, wearing kidskin boots impressed with full figure of a doll and with original paper store label of Au Louvre. Condition: generally excellent, old faint body repainting. Marks: Depose E 10 J (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, the bebe was offered by the famed Parisian department store, Au Louvre. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with finest bisque and painting.
