19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, brown glass inset eyes, painted black curly lashes, incised eyeliner, thick brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, glaze-accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy hair, brown composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 8 1/2 H 1009 dep Germany. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: rare model with beautiful complexion and expression, fine antique costume including brooch pin "Martha".
