8" (20 cm.) dolls. 9" x 9" box. Two bisque socket head dolls, blue glass sleep eyes, painted features, open mouth, blonde mohair wigs, five piece paper mache bodies, painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 44-18. Comments: Gebruder Kuhnlenz dolls, circa 1900, for the French market. Value Points: charming presentation in unplayed with condition features the pair of matching dolls in detailed mariner costumes along with small tinplate sand pail, wooden ship, flag, and toy duck.
