Description
7" (18 cm.) Each has one-piece composition head and torso, painted features, mohair wig, jointed arms and legs, painted shoes. Each doll is wearing her original costume and hair bow, petticoat and pantalets. Each doll has original cloth costume tag "Jo [or Beth, Meg, or Amy] of Little Women/Madame Alexander New York/All Rights Reserved". Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, circa 1937, inspired by the Louisa Mae Alcott novel which had recently been released in film. Three of the dolls are presented in their original labeled boxes, and Jo and Meg have original gold foil name labels on gown.
