All-carved wooden doll with socket head, small brown intaglio eyes with pronounced upper eyelids, white eyedots, feathered brows, closed mouth with dimpled lip corners, brunette mohair wig, spring-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original complexion and painting is well-preserved. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 11, 1911 USA. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1912. Value Points: especially dear face with entreating expression.
