14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with oval slender face, elongated strong throat and modeled bosom, black painted hair with unusual part line is looped smoothly over her ears and formed into a tightly-braided chignon, painted large brown eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth, defined space between the outlined lips, old muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms, white cotton and lace gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: rare features of the early porcelain lady include slender angular features, brown eyes and coiffure.
