17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped upper lips, impressed philtrum and lip corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over original Steiner pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, tiny pierced ear hole flakes. Marks: Steiner Paris Fre A 9 (head) Le Petit Parisien Steiner (torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: very endearing shy expression with delicately shaded complexion, large eyes, original body and body finish, and wearing original silk aqua costume with matching ribbons and embroidered lace, fancy bonnet, undergarments, socks and shoes.
