Description
15" (38 cm.) Each is an all-felt doll with swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes, brown painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with shaded lower lip, mohair wig, jointed shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, slight fading to front of boy's kilt, his felt ears not original. Marks: Lenci (cloth and paper labels on each). Comments: Lenci, circa 1935. Value Points: each doll wears vibrant Scottish felt costume with applique plaid designs, the boy, pencil-marked model 30 of the series, has kilt, accessories, cap, plaid wrap, and the girl, pencil-marked model 29 of the series has fitted jacket, and feathered tam, each with wonderful applique leggings.
