The heavy wooden and card stock box with beautiful lithographed design of children playing school on lid (and repeated on inside lid), opens to a well-fitted interior of various school accessories including abacus, soft metal ink well, series of notebooks and composition books, folios, lesson cards, leather valise lettered "Schulmappe" and a small leather valise lettered "Fruhstuck" (breakfast). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1900.
