28" (71 cm.) An elegant bisque head lady seated at a piano in her salon, with blue glass eyes, closed mouth, luxury original blonde mohair wig in ringlet curls, lady-shaped slender body, wearing original (frail) silk costume is presented on an ebony wooden base under original glass dome. The vignette is centered by mirrored walls with silk curtain sides and decorative lithographed wall and floor papers, while candles, sheet music and other accessories complete the scene. When wound, beautiful music plays and the lady elegantly performs at the piano. Condition: original, bisque lady is excellent, mechanism and music function well. Comments: Paris, Jean-Marie Phalibois, circa 1880, from that firm's luxury line of automaton vignettes. Value Points: all-original, the music and motions enhanced by her beautiful face and luxurious setting of salon.
