Description
8" (20 cm.) The cast metal toy depicting a man with green painted suit and gold diving helmet
with caged windows,his hands sculpted to his body and holding painted axe in one hand and
knife in the other,and with molded back pack with fan blade. When his extra-strong clockwork is
wound,he dives and then arises automatically as the propeller changes the direction of rotation.
According to early advertisements,the Diver "functions well in any type of vertical glass container
or bucket". Near mint condition,the Diver is preserved in his incredibly rare original box with
illustration on the lid. Germany,Bing,circa 1910.
