24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows with feathering, accented nostrils, pierced ears, dimpled chin and philtrum, brunette human hair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 11 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting, very sturdy original body and perfect bisque hands, lovely antique costume comprising burgundy satin dress (may be original) and ivory satin bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes.
