16" (41 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted hair, complexion and facial features, brown curly hair with tendrils onto forehead, brown painted downcast eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, tinted brows, blushed ears, stitch-jointed shoulders, disc-jointed hips, separately-stitched thumb. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany Kathe Kruse 5407. Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1915. Value Points: well-detailed modeling with particularly fine definition around the eyes and mouth of the early model Kruse.
