Description
28" (71 cm.) l. x 19"h. x 14"d. A large wooden
store front with hinged front display window that
can open for easy play has built in ceiling-height
shelving with arched crest at the back and low
shelving that extends around the sides. There is
an unusual scalloped display niche at the center
back,a built-in faux-clock,and beaded detail of
trim around the front and at the bottom of the
decorative wall border. The border is a wonderful
original lithograph depicting children at play.
There is a matching free-standing counter,tin cash
register,and hanging wooden chandelier. An early
miniature Christmas tree stands at one corner. The
shop is filled with dozens of miniature dolls and
toys including wooden Erzebirge vehicles and
action piece such as Ferris wheels,bisque and
all-bisque dolls (some in original
boxes),miniature blocks in original box,pull-toy
paper mache horses on original wooden
bases,ship,early tin bi-planes,and a superb early
wooden Polichinelle theatre with lever movement.
The store has original wall and floor papers,and
original exterior paint. A porcelain lady doll
stands in attendance. Very good/excellent
condition,wood separation on one side wall.
