14"(36 cm.) Paper mache socket head with sculpted hair,facial features,hat,goatee and
moustache indicative of the Wild West performer and star,Buffalo Bill,with one-piece body having
painted costume and boots. Condition: very good,original finish,some roughness around neck
sock. Comments: circa 1885,Buffalo Bill took his Wild West performance on tour to Europe,and,it
is said,that while in Paris,he purchased a Bebe Triste from Jumeau for his niece,although this
story is not substantiated. Value Points: rare figure with simple charm.
