Description
12" (30 cm.) x 9". The official Santa Monica Hospital, Inc. birth certificate (decorated with a photograph of the hospital including three 1920s-era autos parked in front) "certifies that Shirley Temple was born at the Santa Monica Hospital of Santa Monica, Calif. at 9:00 p.m. on the 23rd day of April A.D. 1928". The certificate has the embossed seal of the hospital, and ink signatures of Leo J. Madsen M.D and W.S. Martensen, Superintendent.
