Description
Fancily woven straw with domed top and very wide
brim is trimmed with a border of box-pleated silk
ruffle centered with a band of narrow aqua silk
ribbon. An ivory silk bow and streamer are
further decorations. The bonnet is preserved in
its original green-paper-lined wooden box with
lid and leather straps. 6"W bonnet. 2" inside
head width. Circa 1870.
