Description
33" (84 cm.) l. x 14" h. x 15"d. The wooden doll
house has two rooms with opening door between that
has an etched glass window,each room with a
three-part window against the back wall and having
original valance. The house has fancy columns at
the front and original cream painted finish with
gold accents. The wall and floor papers are
original and a chandelier hangs in each room. The
wooden furnishings,with original cream finish
trimmed in gilt including a curio cabinet,desk
with mirror,settee and two chairs,marble top
table,two pedestals,and easel are by Paul
Leonard,and there are additional other furnishings
including grand piano and baby cradle. Of special
note are two small bisque dolls in pink velvet
costumes seated on a bear rug,that were featured
in the oil painting displayed on the easel.
Accessories include ormolu-framed prints,and other
wall hangings,attached tin fireplace,tin Maerklin
parlor stove with profile of woman's
head,Christmas tree,white bisque busts,ormolu
tiered dessert plate,oil lamps,and an arrangement
of frame,busts and figurines atop the grand piano.
There is a bisque dollhouse lady and gentleman,he
with rarer sculpted moustache. Excellent
condition. Germany,Paul Leonard,circa 1900,a
wonderful house with many accessories and activities.
