32" (81 cm.) l. x 13"h. x 14"d. The two room dollhouse has original cream-painted facade with gold accented columns,gray painted exterior,and original wall and floor papers in the interior. A double door with rich paneling and Gottschalk silver handle on the parlor side opens between the rooms. The larger room has two back-wall windows with brass rods and lace curtains,and is furnished with a Gottschalk parlor set having mahogany-like finish with gold accents,comprising luxury one-piece settee set in wooden frame with mirror and cabinets,table,two upholstered arm chairs,jardiniere; the matching dessert buffet,matching silk upholstered settee and chair and several small tables are in the adjoining Christmas-themed room. Accessories include two ceramic parlor stoves,soft metal gilt jardiniere with potted flowers,mantel clocks,glassware,ormolu accessories,and,a rare framed shadowbox of miniature butterflies that hangs on the wall. A decorated Christmas tree centers the smaller room along with a miniature holiday-decorated house,a nativity scene,and a bounty of Christmas toys including Erzebirge wooden toys,dolls,spinning top and more. A fine gilt-metal framed print hangs on the back wall,and there are other prints and mirrors. Three small bisque children play in the Christmas room along with their Papa,while in the parlor are three dollhouse adults. Very good played with condition,parlor wall paper and Christmas room floor papers are especially attractive. Germany,circa 1890

53" (135 cm.) h. x 24"w. x 15"d. Designed to fit against a wall,the flat-backed cabinet shelf of pinewood with wood-grained oak finish enhanced with brown stencils has various hanging hooks and shelves,dark green faux-slate counter,and lower cabinet with double doors. The cabinet is filled to overflowing with child-sized kitchenware and dishes,centered by a large tin stove with claw feet (probably Maerklin). Surrounding the stove are a myriad of kitchen utensils including painted-tin coffee grinder with copper lid,painted tin scales with two brass pans,wooden-based slicer,tin laundry tub with enamel blue scenes of windmill and village along with various pieces of ironed laundry and laundry accessories,cookie cutters,another scale,other sundry ware,and a rare lithographed-tin "grocery list" sign ("Merktafel") with movable buttons to designate needed supplies. The cabinet is decorated with a plethora of blue and white porcelain dishes and kitchen tools including: rare stacking carry-out lunch plates in original wire frame,large lidded tureen,three porcelain bowls with bent-wire frames,rare spoon holder with wooden pedestal and porcelain cap,having six soft-metal spoons,six wooden-handled utensils with blue-decorated porcelain parts including pie-crimper,sieves,ladle and rolling pin,six brass knives with blue-decorated porcelain handles signed "Uchatius Bronce",coffee pot with matching sugar and creamer,three other creamers,six cups and saucers,nine various dinner plates or bowls,six small bowls,two gravy boats,wall boxes for "Salz" and "Mehl",oil cruet,funnel and a porcelain faux-clock. Excellent condition,three cups with repair,few other minor flakes. Germany,circa 1910,an outstanding and extremely rare child's play cabinet with rare accessories.

32" (81 cm.) w. x 17"h. (38" including legs) x 19"d. The wooden-framed shop is designed to display from both front and back,allowing a vision of the shop from display windows,as well as easy access to the store interior for child's play.The entire interior and exterior shop has original painted finish of wood-grained ochre with brown trim and stenciling; the floor is painted marbleized-green. The exterior back wall has two large display windows with interior wide shelving and lights,centered by an opening door with upper window. Above the door is an original banner sign with well-detailed lithographed,symbolic designs including crests of various countries,a seated lady,a lion,village and sea scenes,the intertwined initials E.L. and the name "Les Modes Parisienne,20 rue Bergere". The interior back walls are designed with visual access to the street displays,and the side walls are fitted with eight drawers and a center display niche on each side; the drawers have blue and gold lithographed paper covers. There is a hanging light,two pulley-fixtures that allow canvas window shades to be drawn when the shop is closed,a free standing matching counter with beautiful paint work,and two hidden drawers. The shop is lavishly filled with bolts of fabric,trims,accessories,some garments on display,bonnets,hat boxes,decorative boxes,buttons,sample book of silks,and little books of lace samples. Excellent condition,door window glass cracked,original finish well-preserved throughout. German,Christian Hacker,circa 1875 for the French market.

17" (43 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulder head with plump facial shape,rich cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,delicately-painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented center line,unpierced ears,brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate,kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees,porcelain arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Brevete D.D. SGDG (stamp on torso) Au Pere Noel (shop label). Comments: Duval-Denis,successor to the Blampoix firm for a two-year period only,1861-1863; signed D.D. poupees are from this short period only,and this example was sold in the Paris toy shop,Au Pere Noel. Value Points: very rare-to-find poupee with gorgeous face and complexion,beautiful porcelain arms,along with her original trunk,trousseau and extremely rare hand-written inventory of the clothes that she owns titled "Liste de Trousseau de ma poupee". The poupee wears an exceptional gown of ivory and peach silk taffeta with matching bonnet,and owns four additional gowns (one very frail),black taffeta jacket,brushed velvet and woolen coat,plaid cape,fur collar,three fine bonnets and one wooden hat box,bridal coronne,two chemisettes,three pairs of sleevelets,two night caps,rose satin stays,various shifts and undergarments,opera glasses,shoes,parasol,and a few assorted other accessories. The trousseau and inventory have been preserved in an early French doll trunk. (The doll and trousseau were featured in an article in Antique Doll Collector,June 2009).
