Included is matching lime green velvet bonnet with lace and floral trim. Excellent virtually unworn condition with rich colors brilliantly preserved. Circa 1870.

Condition: back shoulderplate has horizontal reglue extended across its length, otherwise excellent with minor scuffing to original body finish. Original paper label on base reads "Magasin des Enfants, Paris, Passage de l'Opera", the Parisian luxury toy store of the mid-19th century. Excellent condition. French, circa 1870.

Arranged upon an ebony wooden base under a blown glass dome is an elaborate arrangement of gilded metal symbols, bisque flowers and 11 mirrors, centering a tufted rose velvet cushion upon which is displayed a wax orange blossom bridal coronet. The symbols include ivy leaves, oak leaves, dove of harmony, crown, daisies, and others. The 19th century French tradition served to preserve the bride's wedding coronet and symbolize a newly married couple's hopes for the future. An exceptional example with great luxury detail. Superb French 19th Century "Globe de Mariage" with Star-Clustered Mirrors

An ebony base with blown glass globe displays an exceptional wedding arrangement, based upon 19th century French traditions, comprising one unusual shaped mirror surmounted by five mirrors arranged in star-shape; a similar mirror arrangement is in front of the red velvet tufted cushion, and an unusual number of very elaborately embossed ormolu symbols surround the mirrors including large dove with wreath, another dove, 11 poppies,12 bouquets of wheat sheaths and flowers. 19th Century French Ceremonial Globe with Unusual Silver Ornaments and Blue Cushion

20" (51 cm.) Arranged upon an ebony wooden platform under a glass dome is an elaborate arrangement that centers a blue silk tufted cushion upon which is resting a coronet of flowers, leaves and red berries. The ornaments, in an unusual silver-plated finish, include winged doves with wreath, maple leaves, fleur-de-lis, various elaborate scrolls, and variously-shaped mirrors, one with painted flower designs. A wreath of silk flowers is included as well as a blue silk boutonniere, both presumably worn during the ceremony which the globe symbolizes. Bisque and chalk figures of young boy and girl in communion costumes are tucked into the scene. French, circa 1900. Excellent condition.
